Terms of Service & Participation Agreement

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before booking, purchasing, accessing, or participating in any services provided by Carolina Blanco, trading as Paths of the Mind.

By purchasing, enrolling in, accessing, or participating in any service provided by Paths of the Mind, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Paths of the Mind provides educational and well-being services, including, but not limited to:

• One-to-one meditation training sessions

• Meditation programmes

• The Path Programme

• Guided meditations

• Online courses

• Workshops

• Retreats

• Workplace wellbeing services

• Educational resources and downloadable materials

All services are educational and well-being-focused in nature.

ARTICLE 3:

NO MEDICAL OR PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES

Paths of the Mind does not provide:

• Medical advice

• Medical treatment

• Psychiatric services

• Psychological treatment

• Counselling

• Psychotherapy

• Crisis intervention

• Clinical mental health services

Participation in any service does not create a therapist-client, counsellor-client, psychologist-client, doctor-patient, or healthcare-provider relationship.

All services are intended for educational, personal development, mindfulness, meditation training, and wellbeing purposes only.

ARTICLE 4: PARTICIPANT SUITABILITY

You acknowledge that you are responsible for determining whether participation is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

If you are currently experiencing severe psychological distress, psychosis, active suicidal thoughts, severe trauma symptoms, or any condition that may be negatively affected by meditation or self-reflective practices, you should seek appropriate professional advice before participating.

Participation is undertaken voluntarily and at your own discretion.

ARTICLE 5: MEDITATION AND WELLBEING DISCLAIMER

Meditation, mindfulness, breathwork, self-reflection and personal development practices may produce different experiences for different individuals.

Possible responses may include:

• Emotional release

• Fatigue

• Increased awareness of difficult emotions

• Anxiety

• Distressing memories

• Temporary discomfort

• Changes in mood

• Increased sensitivity

By participating, you acknowledge and accept these potential responses.

If significant distress occurs, participants should seek support from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

ARTICLE 6: PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

Participants remain fully responsible for:

• Their decisions

• Their actions

• Their wellbeing

• Their physical health

• Their emotional health

• Their personal circumstances

You agree to exercise reasonable judgment and discontinue any activity that causes significant discomfort or distress.

Paths of the Mind makes no guarantees regarding:

• Emotional outcomes

• Personal transformation

• Spiritual experiences

• Health outcomes

• Relationship outcomes

• Financial outcomes

Any testimonials, examples, stories, or case studies are illustrative only and should not be interpreted as guarantees of future results.

ARTICLE 8: BOOKINGS

A booking is confirmed only after payment has been successfully received.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel bookings where necessary.

If a booking is cancelled by Paths of the Mind, a full refund will be provided.

ARTICLE 9: PAYMENT

All prices are stated in Pounds Sterling (£).

Payment must be received before access to services is granted unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Where payment plans are offered:

• Payments must be made according to the agreed schedule.

• Failure to complete payments may result in suspension of services.

• Outstanding balances remain payable.

ARTICLE 10: CANCELLATIONS, RESCHEDULING AND REFUNDS

One-to-One Sessions

Sessions may be rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice.

Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will be charged in full.

Failure to attend a scheduled session without notice will be treated as a missed appointment and will be charged in full.

No refunds will be provided for missed appointments.

Programmes, Packages and Courses

All programme, package and course purchases are non-refundable.

When purchasing a programme, package or course, you are reserving access, resources, preparation time and availability.

No refunds will be provided for:

• Change of mind

• Change in personal circumstances

• Lack of participation

• Failure to complete the programme

• Scheduling difficulties

• Dissatisfaction arising from personal expectations

• Inability to achieve desired results

Unused sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Retreats, Workshops and Events

Payments for retreats, workshops and events are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Paths of the Mind.

Where possible, participation may be transferred to a future event at our discretion.

Exceptional Circumstances

Requests relating to exceptional circumstances may be considered at our sole discretion, however Paths of the Mind is under no obligation to provide a refund.

Statutory Rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection legislation.

ARTICLE 11: Administration Fees and Third-Party Processing Fees

Where a refund is provided at the discretion of Paths of the Mind, the following costs may be deducted from any refund amount:

• Payment processing fees charged by third-party providers, including but not limited to Stripe, Klarna, PayPal or other payment processors.

• Administration costs reasonably incurred in relation to the booking, processing, scheduling or delivery of services.

• Costs already incurred by Paths of the Mind in preparing, organising or delivering the purchased service.

• Any taxes, duties or government charges already paid or payable in connection with the transaction where such amounts cannot be recovered.

Paths of the Mind reserves the right to deduct such costs from any discretionary refund.

Nothing in this clause affects a customer's statutory rights under applicable consumer protection legislation.

ARTICLE 12: CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING

Programmes and Packages

Programme fees reserve time and resources in advance.

Once a programme has commenced, refunds are generally not available except where required by law.

Requests will be considered individually and at our discretion.

ARTICLE 13: DIGITAL PRODUCTS AND ONLINE COURSES

Digital content includes, but is not limited to:

• Guided meditations

• PDFs

• Workbooks

• Online courses

• Audio recordings

• Video content

Upon purchase, access may be granted immediately.

Where digital content has been accessed, downloaded, streamed or used, refunds may not be available except where required by law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights.

ARTICLE 14: PROGRAMME ACCESS AND EXPIRY

Programme access periods may be specified at the point of purchase.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• Unused sessions are non-transferable.

• Programme access cannot be shared.

• Sessions must be used within the agreed timeframe.

Expired sessions may be forfeited.

ARTICLE 15: RETREATS, EVENTS AND WORKSHOPS

Participants attend retreats, workshops and events voluntarily.

Participants are responsible for:

• Their own well-being

• Following instructions provided

• Informing us of relevant health considerations

• Their personal belongings

Paths of the Mind accepts no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage to personal property unless required by law.

ARTICLE 16: PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

Paths of the Mind reserves the right to suspend or terminate participation where behaviour is:

• Threatening

• Abusive

• Harassing

• Discriminatory

• Disruptive

• Inappropriate

In such circumstances refunds may not be provided.

ARTICLE 17: INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content remains the intellectual property of Carolina Blanco trading as Paths of the Mind.

This includes:

• Course materials

• Workbooks

• PDFs

• Audio recordings

• Guided meditations

• Videos

• Written content

• Website content

No material may be copied, reproduced, distributed, sold, shared, published or modified without prior written permission.

ARTICLE 18: WEBSITE USE

Users agree not to:

• Attempt unauthorised access to systems

• Disrupt website functionality

• Upload malicious software

• Use the website unlawfully

We reserve the right to restrict access where misuse occurs.

ARTICLE 19: LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Nothing within these Terms excludes or limits liability where such liability cannot legally be excluded under the laws of England and Wales.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Paths of the Mind shall not be liable for:

• Indirect losses

• Consequential losses

• Incidental losses

• Loss of opportunity

• Loss of revenue

• Loss of business

• Loss of anticipated benefits

arising from participation in any service.

Participants remain responsible for their own decisions and actions following participation.

ARTICLE 20: FORCE MAJEURE

Paths of the Mind shall not be liable for delays, interruptions or inability to provide services due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including:

• Illness

• Natural disasters

• Internet outages

• Technical failures

• Government restrictions

• Acts of God

ARTICLE 21: PRIVACY

Personal information is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

By using our services, you acknowledge that personal information may be collected, stored and processed as described within that policy.

ARTICLE 22: CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time.

The most recent version will always be published on our website.

Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any revisions.

ARTICLE 23: GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
